Meet the Team

Ken Matthews and Jon Pray began the “Chaffee Housing Report” podcast 5 years ago with the goal of educating our community on the housing challenges experienced throughout south-central Colorado along with possible solutions for system change. Ken interviewed hundreds of people throughout the years including several national housing experts, local housing advocates, and governmental employees and board members to gain a broad spectrum of thoughts. The “Chaffee Housing Report” has now evolved into, “We Are Chaffee: Looking Upstream” and, although the podcast continues to focus on housing and other social determinants of health, podcast host Adam Williams is highlighting powerful “human-forward” conversations with local guests. The hope is that these honest and sometimes difficult conversations will evoke compassion and understanding in the audience, and ultimately advocacy for positive change.

Once she and her wife moved to Chaffee County in 2016, Lisa’s focus expanded to more human-centric issues and she landed her dream job with Chaffee County Public Health and the Chaffee Housing Authority – who knew working in two departments could be so exhilarating? She is grateful for all the diverse and amazing people she has met through working on the We Are Chaffee Storytelling Initiative.
